New year; reflections on musical goals and possibilities

For the umpteenth time I find myself thinking about finally doing something with my patreon account, and maybe my attitude has finally shifted to the right perspective to actually do it.

My stumbling block has been knowing that the audience for the music I fool around with (at least the audience who's savvy enough to use patreon) is vanishingly small, so why go to the trouble? 1/2

...and the answer is, to give myself external pressure to play and record regularly and consistently. I've got years of half-finished transcriptions of old banjo music, stuff I've learned but never quite gotten around to recording, etc. and it probably wouldn't take *that* much extra effort to go the last 10-15% and publish tabs / high-quality recordings, etc. 2/2

@mayor I hear you on this. I think that will be one of my resolutions for 2020, to get back to practicing and rebuilding up my skills and get some more music completed.
